Examination Text | John Mansell aged 28 Years removed from St Jno Westmr upon his oath saith that he was never Bound Apprentice been a Yearly hired Seven in any one place for Twelve Months together rentedTen Pounds by the Your not done any act to gain a Settlement in his own Right that he is the legitimate Issue of Samuel and Ann Mansell bought deceased that her said ffather was Silversmith by Trade & lived in & rented a House in Castle Street the corner of Orange Court in the Parish of Saint Martin in the Fields from Michas 1775 to Xmas 1777 at the Yearly Rent of £21 the said Taxes since which his saidffather never rented Ten Pounds by the Year nor did any Act to gain a subsequent Settlement , that he was Married to his present wife Elizabeth at the Parish Church of the Saint John the Evangelist Westminster July 17, 1785 by whom he had Two Children living to wit , Edward born September 13th 1786 and Thomas Born August 5th/92.
