Examination TextWilliam Drake aged about 27 years destitute of lodging on his oath saith that he never was bound an apprentice kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together, that his Father George Drake who died about 26 years ago was a Barber and Peruke Maker by trade and lived in and rented an house in the Hop Garden in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of four or five years at the yearly rent of 10 pounds and upwards besides taxes, and died in the occupation of the said house as he this deponent hath been informed and verily believes to be true. Sworn the 18th Day of May 1785 before William Hyde.
