Examination Text | Andrew Stanway aged 19 years removed by an order of two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace from the Parish of St Bridget vulgarly St Brides in the City of London to the Parish of St Martin in the Fields in the County of Middlesex on his oath saith that he was bound an apprentice by an indenture for seven years to Samuel Rushton a Stay Maker in Shoe Lane in the said Parish of St Bridget and there served his said master for the space of three years, and then he was by his and his said master's approbation assigned over to George Lee a Stay Maker in Russell Court in the said Parish of St Martin the Fields and then he served the said Mr Lee for the space of 12 months and upwards, and then was discharged by the sitting Magistrates at the Public Office in Bow Street, that he hath not done any act to gain a subsequent settlement.
