Examination TextRebecca Eagin aged about 32 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields on her oath saith that she is the wife of Henry Eagin to whom she was married at the Parish Church of St Martin in the Fields about 13 years ago, that her said husband lived in and rented an house in New Bedford Court in the Parish aforesaid for the space of four years at the yearly rent of 14 pounds 10 shillings besides taxes, quitted the same about five years ago, that her said husband hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes since, that she hath two children by her said husband to wit Thomas aged 10 years and Mary aged eight years. Sworn the second Day of December 1783 before Thomas Bullard. [In a different hand:] Sarah born 20 Decr. 1783 in the [Watch].
