Examination TextThe Examination of Mary Vidler lodging at Mrs. Hudson's who keeps a Cheesemonger's shop in St. John Street taken this [blank] Day of [blank] in the year 1782. This Examinant on her oath saith that Elizabeth Vidler (this Examinant's daughter who is insane) aged about 28 years never was married, that she the said Elizabeth was removed by an order of removal from the Parish of St. James Clerkenwell to the Parish of St Martin in the Fields, that she the said Elizabeth was bound an apprentice by an indenture for seven years to Mrs Stent a Cleare Starcher in that part of Little Bedford Street which is in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields and there served her said mistress all the said term out, that she the said Elizabeth never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant (except to the said Mrs Stent in Bedford Street aforesaid) for the space of 12 months together since the expiration of her said apprenticeship.
