Examination Text | Margaret Fraser aged about 20 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed as a vagrant from the Parish of St. James within the liberty of Westminster upon her oath saith that she never was married nor bound an apprentice, that she was a yearly hired servant to Mr Carr an Embroiderer in Martlett Court in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of two years all under one hiring at the yearly wages of 5 pounds diet and lodging, quitted the same two years and an half ago, that she hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor was a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since. Sworn the eighth day of November 1781 before William Hyde. |
