Examination Text | The Examination of Ann Adams a Rogue and Vagabond taken on oath before me William Hyde Esq one of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and for the said city and liberty this [blank] Day of October in the year of our Lord 1781. Who on oath saith that she is 19 years of age, that she never was married, that she never did any act to gain a settlement, that her father of Francis Adams lived in and rented an house and farm in the Parish of Clarwardine in the County of Salop for the space of several years at the yearly rent of 10 pounds and upwards, that her father never did any act to gain a subsequent settlement to this Examinant's knowledge.
