Examination TextWestminster Joseph Hancock aged about Thirty Three Years (in the Workhouse) Saith he was born at Exeter was a yearly hired Servant as ffootman to Mrs Lewis (Widow of Mr Lewis heretofore a Banker agt & the new Exchange in the Strand) who then lived at upper End of the Haymarket in the Parish of St Martin in the ffields whom he there served three Years within a Month had four pounds by the Year Wages Diet and Lodging and came away at his Mistress's Death which happened five Years ago and that he never kept house rented ten Pounds by the year paid any parish Taxes or was a yearly hired Servant the Space of a year in any one service since was never marryed Sworn
