Examination TextElizabeth Campbell in the workhouse aged fforty Six years Saith she is the Wife of John Campbell gone to Sea on board the Princess Carolina a Galley in the Service of the India Company of Bengall seven years ago Saith she hath heard by one Mr Nott a Pawnbroker near the Pest ffields that her said husband was taken Prisoner at Bengall Saith he was by Trade a Barber and Perukemaker and that they kept house in James Street in this of above twenty pounds Rent almost two years and afterwards removed and took an Apartment there Vizt a Shop a Room two Pair of Stairs and a Garret and paid all Taxes besides Sixteen Pounds yearly Rent that they left the same Eight Years ago and never took any house or other Apartment of the yearly Value of ten Pounds nor paid any Parish Taxes hath one Child by her said husband (towhom she was marryed at Newington Butts about sixteen years since) named Jane and aged eight years born at the house then of one Pickering in St Martins Lane Sworn
