Examination Text | Elizabeth Carthrow aged upwards of Forty Years (in the Workhouse) Saith she is the wife of John Carthrow a Soldier in Coll Paget's Regiment in Ireland to whom she was married at the Fleet Twenty four Years ago and hath two Children by him (to wit) John aged twenty two years an Apprentice to a Gentleman as Gardener in Southampton Buildings Jane aged fifteen bound Apprentice to Mary McNaughton And further that this Depts said Husband is a Gardiner & Served his Time somewhere in Ireland and that he never kept House of or rented ten Pounds by the Year paid Parish Taxes or lived a year in any One Service at a yearly hring |
