Examination TextElizabeth Carthrow aged upwards of Forty Years lodging at one Haines in Bakers Ally in the Strand in this Parish Saith she is the wife of John Carthrow gone from her to whom she was married at the Hand and Pen at the Fleet upwards of Twenty Years ago Saith he is no Trade is an Irishman never was a Servant or Housekeeper in England nor an Apprentice but that ever since she knew him was a Soldier in Dubourgay's Regiment Saith she never was an Apprentice was a Yearly hired Servant to one Mr Roberts a Bricklayer in Hedge Lane before Marriage three years and from thence went to live with one Mr Summons in Warwick Street near Lord Bruce's served him there upwards of a Year had fifty shillings by the year Wages Diet and Lodging and marryed from that Service hath 3 Child John aged 16 years an Apprentice in the City Jane aged 15 an app to Margt McNaughton & Joseph with in Lambeth Sworn the Day of
