Examination TextThe Examination of Ann Orrell Singlewoman taken upon Oath this Day in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Thirty Who upon her Oath Saith she is Twenty three Years of Age that she was never marryed in Conduit an Apprentice by Indenture for three Years to one Mrs Webb a Milliner in Durham Yard and that she served out all her Time there which expired five years ago and that she never lived the space of a Twelvemonth in any one Service since nor never kept House rented ten Pounds by the Year paid any Parish Taxes Saith that on the Third Day of February last past she was delivered of a Female Children Bastard Child in the Workhouse of and in the Parish of Saint Martin inthe Fields And that one John Reynolds Captain of the William and Mary a Merchant Ship gone to the INdies had on or about the Month of March in the Year 1733 the Carnal Knowledge of her Body on the Bed of the Two Piar of Stairs Floor of the House of one Mrs Hubbard over against the Fountain Tavern in the Strand and several Times afterwards at other Places at one which Times he the said John Reynolds begote on her Body the said Bastard Child and that he the said John Reynolds is the true and only ffather thereof and no Man else Sworn the Day and Year above written before
