Examination TextMary KIdd aged about thirty Years lodging at Mr Dugden's in the Nag's Head in Hedge Lane where she hath lodged about Six months Saith she is the Wife of William Kidd gone to Sea about a twelvemonth since to whom she was marryed in the new Church at Edinburgh where she was born That her said Husband and she kept house of fourteen pounds by the Year Rent in little Saint Martins Street and kept a Chandler Shop in the same upwards of a year but never paid any Taxes except to the Watch nor never kept any other house rented ten pounds by the year since And that she hath three children living by her said Husband (towit) Jane aged Ten Years born in Edinburgh Robert aged Six years born at Mr Daniels in Hedge Lane aforesaid and William aged one year and half born at Mr Carr's in Russel Court likewise in this Parish Sworn the 7th of May 1735 Before Jas Fraser THe Marke of Mary Kidd
