Examination Text | Sarah Jones als Smith aged about 30 years now in the workhouse Saith she is the wife of Allen Smith now a Drummer in Collo Frances Regiment to whom she was Married at St Mary's Church at Westchester about 9 Years agoe And that her said Husband was born upon the sea but never was brought up to any Trade nor never kept House rented 10£ Pr Ann paid any parish Taxes or was a yearly hired Servant as this Examinant ever heard And further saith that before her Marriage with her Husband Smith she was the widow of Hugh Jones deced about 15 years agoe and that he was by Trade a Boddice Maker and served his Time of 7 years to his ffather Hugh Jones in LOng Acre where his ffather kept House several years And further saith that her Husband Jones and she kept House in Knuckles Alley now Hanover Street Long Acre in this parish about 3 years paid 12£ Pr Ann Rent & all Taxes and quitted it about 20 years agoe and that they never kept House never rented 10£ Pr Ann Since |
