Examination TextThe Examination of Elizabeth Pritchard taken upon Oath this ninth Day of September Anno Dom 1728. Who upon her oath Saith she was never married Saith she was Delivered of a Female Bastard Child in the Workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields on Monday the 2d of this Instant September since Christened Susannah and that one William Gray an Upholsterer had Carnall Knowledge of her Body about a Fortnight before Christmas last at the House of one Mr Eastward in the great old Baily (where she was then a Servant and also sevrall times after at his Lodging in Puddle Dock at one of wch times he begat on her Body the said Female Bastard Child and that he the said William Gray is the true and only Father thereof and no Man Else
