Examination TextElizabeth Martin aged 67 years removed from the Parish of St Anne Black Fryars London saith she is the widow of Thomas Martin (who died [blank] years ago) to whom she was married at the Castle in the Fleet about three years before his death, has no child by him, that he never was bound an apprentice kept any house rented 10 pounds by the year or paid any parish taxes, that he hath informed her that he was a yearly hired servant to his Grace the Duke of Somerset as an Under Cook there and served the said Duke for five years, but what wages he had or whether he served in Northumberland House or where else knows not, and that she never heard that he was a servant to any other person, and that she this Examinant since the death of her said husband never kept any house rented 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes or lived a year in any service.
