Examination TextJane James aged about 37 Years Lodging in a Tenemt: of one Mr Spencer's against the Red Lyon Ale house in St: Thomas's Street in the Parish of St Giles in the ffields from whence she was Passed, Saith she is the Widow of William Jones who died eight weeks agoe, That she was married to him at the ffleet Eleven Years the 28th Day of August, Saith he was never bound an apprentice, That he was upwards of twelve Years agoe (then being a Bachelor) a Yearly hired Seven as a Drawer to one Mr Davies at the Red Lyon Inn at Charing Cross in this Parish at a Year and a half to her Certain knowledge she being acquainted with him during that time and severall years before, had £4 Pr Ann Wages Diet and Lodging, having seen him receive some part of his Wages And that he Married her about three weeks before he left that Service Since which he or she never hired or Rented any house, or Rented £10 Pr Ann or paid any Parochial Taxes to any Parish hath four Child Jane aged ten Years James aged eight Years Thomas aged three Years and William aged eight weeks.
