Examination TextCatherine Thompson aged 61 years removed from the Parish of St Saviour Southwark upon her oath saith she is the widow of James Thompson (who died at St Saviours) aforesaid 12 years ago, that she was married to him at Edinburgh in Scotland near 40 years ago, that he kept house in Marygold Court in the Strand in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields being the Thistle and Crown alehouse and paid 10 pounds per ann. clear rent over and above all taxes for Water Poor &c., that they kept the same one year and quitted the same in the year Queen Anne died and never kept any house or apartment of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes since, nor she this Examinant since his death, hath no children.
