Examination TextJohn Nicaise aged about 32 years lodging at Mrs Hudson's next door to the Castle Tavern in Drury Lane in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields saith he is a Book Binder by trade and was bound an apprentice by indenture for seven years to Mr William Adams a Book Binder in Salisbury Street in the said Parish to whom he there served his whole apprenticeship which expired about 11 years ago, and that he never was a yearly hired servant kept house rented 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes, that he was married to Arabella his wife in the Parish Church of St Clement Danes 10 years ago, that she was yesterday delivered of a son since christened Thomas and that he hath no other children living. Sworn the 30th Day of December 1743 before James Fraser.
