<div2 type="smdssetColumn">Ann Duke aged 80 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she is the widow of Edward Duke (who has been dead about 14 years) to whom she was married at a Church in the Minories about 30 years ago, that her said husband was a Peruke Maker by trade and was an apprentice to one Mr Farham a Peruke Maker then living at the bottom of St Martin's Lane in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields and there served his time out, but when it expired she can't tell, after which time he never kept house rented 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes or was a yearly hired servant, nor hath she this Examinant since his death.
