The Examination of Lydia Peters Removed by an Order of Removal from the Parish of St. Giles in the Fields in the County of Middx to the Parish of St Martin in the Fields in the same County Taken this 16th Day of Feby in the year 1786. // This examinant on her Oth sauth that she is 26 years of Age that she was by the Guardians of the Foundling Hospital bound Apprentice by an Indenture until she should attain the Age of Twenty One years to Mr. Adam Wright Cabinet Maker and upholster near Pheonix Alley in Long Acre in the Parish of St. Martin in the Fields aforesaid and that she this Examinant lived as a yearly hired servant with the said Mr Wright after the Expiration of her said Apprenticeship for about two years all under One hiring at the yearly wages of Five pounds diet and Lodging quitted the same about three years ago that she hath not Kept House rented a tenement of ten pounds by the year paid any Parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant in any One place for twelve Months together since And this Examinant on her Voluntary Oth saith that she is now big with Child or Children which is or are Likely to be Born a Bastard or Bastards and to become Chargeable to the said Parish of St. Martin in the Fields And that Lintten or Linen Draper ( the Corner of Will Street in Oxford Street did beget her with the Child or Children she now goeth with and is Pregnant off And that he the said Linton is the true and only Father thereof and no man else. // Sworn the day & year first abovesaid Before John Collick // The Mark of Lydia Peters // L.
