Examination TextThe examination of Mary Legar Lodging at Mr Tibbs in Off Alley in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields Taken this 30th Day of Novr in the year 1785. This Examinant on her Oath saith that she is 59 years of Age that she is the Widow of James Legar who Died the Eighteenth Day of May 1784 that her said Husband never Kept House rented a tenement of ten Pounds by the year paid any Parish taxes bound an Apprentice nor a yearly hired Servant in any one Place for twelve Months together to this Examinant's Knowledge or belief that she was married to her said late Husband in the Parish Church of St. Leonard Shoreditch the first Day of sepr in the year 1783.
