DescriptionHarriet Summers, 15 years of age. Parents live in Phillips Place, Chalton street; Father an Exciseman. She left home about six months since, because her Father in law would not keep her. She then went to a Cousin's, Mr Hopkins, Ann's Place Chalton street, who obtained her lodgings with a Laundress in Phillips' Place. But she had no employment for her. Petitioner has been convicted of stealing some Gowns & pledging them. Judgment was respited & she was recommended by the Court at the last Old Bailey Sessions to the Refuge for the Destitute. Admitted.
