DescriptionConsidered the Case of Emma Ann Cranfield 12 years of age. Her Father and mother have been dead five years. She has five Brothers and Sisters; but knows not where they are. She has no other relations. Her Father, a Serjeant [sic] Major in the West London Militia Left Property to her Eldest Brother, a cheesemonger No 143 Drury Lane, who ran away and left the rest of the Family destitute. She afterwards lived with Mrs. Tottle No. 12, High street Bloomsbury, from whom she stole two Gowns and other Articles & gave them to a Woman, Mrs Daniels of Duck Lane, whose husband has been transported for receiving the same, and with whom she had previously lived and at whose instigation, she says, she stole the said articles. She was convicted and at the recommendation of the Jury sentence was respited and she was recommended to the Refuge. Admitted.
