Read the Petition of Elizabeth Hatherall, 26 years of the Parish of St Andrews Holborn. The only relation she has is an Aunt in Staffordshire, with whom she was brought up; but who will not now look upon her. She was Sentenced to be transported for 7 years for stealing a Gown and Cap the property of Mary Baker with whom she lived, being then on the Town. On her passage to Botany Bay, the Ship was taken by the Americans & she was with other prisoners, landed upon the Island of St Antonio, Cape de Verde; whence they were brought to Portsmouth by an English Ship. She received her pardon on Friday last & on her arrival in London applied to Mr Hardy of Newgate, who gave her a letter of recommendation Admitted.
