DescriptionRead the Petition of Henry Hart, from the Hulks. He says, He is 57 years of age; had dealt in broken Glass and Glass ware; was taken up for stealing some penny pieces; has been transported for 7 years; had a wife & 3 children; has enquired about them in vain. He says, He was born a Jew; but never professed the Religion. He was never baptised. One year all but ten days of his confinement was remitted on account of His Good Behaviour. He says also, that a small trifle of money, about twenty shillings, would set him up again. He has been from the Hulks ten days; & has subsisted upon half a Guinea given on leaving the Hulks; and another half Guinea obtained from the sale of his clothes. He says, He lodged in Wentworth street last night at a Lodging House. Resolved, that Twenty shillings be given Him for the purchase of a Basket, which will cost 5s/ some Glass to the amount of 13s/ and the remaining 2s/ for immediate support.
