General Vestry mett Pursuant to Notice given in the Church

A Motion made that a Chairman be Elected.
Ordered & Agreed Saml. Clarke< no role > Esqr . be Chairman

A Motion made & the Question put whether a Workhouse -
will be Necessary & advantagious for the Inhitants of this Parish

Resolved by this Board that a Workhouse is Necessary & will
be advantageous to the Inhitants of this of this Parish & yt. yl.-
Consideration thereof be recomitted to the sd. Comittee.

Ordered yt. the Vestry Clerk take an Account of the Expence
the Inhabitants have been at for the Maintenance of the Poor
from 1730 to 1738 togeather with an Acct. of the totall amount
that hath been Collected in each Year upon the severall Poor
Rates and that the sevll. Books relateing thereto be laid-
before the said Comittee.

Resolved likewise yt. the Vestry Cd make out an Acct. of the
sevll. Annuall Rents belonging to this Parish & the Sevll. Uses
they have been applyed to.

Ordered yt. the same be laid before the sd. Comittee & yt. any
Inhitant yt. thinks proper have Liberty to attd. the sd. Comittee
& Vote with ym.-

Ordered yt. the said Comittee meet on Thursday gl. 26th. Instt. at 4
in the Afternoon & make their Report to this Board-
between this & Lady Day next & give Notice thereof in
writeing to the sevll. Inhitants paying Scott & Lott of the
time ye. sd. Comittee make the sd. Report.
