Vestry met pursuant to adjournment to proceed on the Poll
for organist

Mr Perry}Churchwardens

Mr Marshall

Mr. Jones and several other respectable Inhabitants assembled
at 10 o' Clock in the forenoon to Poll for an Organist in the Room
of Doctor Howard deceased.

Mr. Churchwarden Wright declared there were two Candidates
only who stood for the Poll for Organist Vizt. Mr Thomas
Smart and Mr Jonas Blewett< no role > whereupon the Clock striking
10 the Books were opened and the Poll begun and continued
open till 3 o' Clock in the afternoon at which time the Poll
was closed for this day and on casting up the Books the
numbers stood as follows

For Mr Smart338
For Mr Blewett157
Majority for Smart 181

Adjourned till tomorrow morning at 10 o' Clock
to proceed on the Poll
