Single woman
but it having been found out that she has a
Daughter
living contrary to the Advertisement consequently
not Eligible to serve the office of Matron a Motion was made
and the Question put Wher- the Vestry wod- confirm the
Minutes of the Churchwardens Overseers and Assistants
they having chose her as being a Single woman
the same
was carried in the Negative Nem Con.
Wanted a Discreet sober carefull Woman aged about
forty Years (having no husband or Child living as a
Matron to superintend the Workhouse
of this Parish such
persons answering the above Descriptions are desired to
attend at the Workhouse
in Carey Street
