The Inhabitants of this Parish assembled in the
Vestry room at nine in the forenoon to Ballot for a
Vestry Clerk
in the room of Mr. Wm: Chimmow< no role >
deceased pursuant to the resolutions of the Vestry
of the 16th. Instant
The Minutes of which Vestry
were now Read
And on calling over the Names of the several
Candidates (Vizt) Mr. Edmond Coombe< no role >
, Mr. Alexr.
Bassett< no role >
, Mr. Ninian Pinckney< no role >
& Mr. Jno. Pittman< no role >
they severally answered to the same, Mr. Sidebotham
having publickly declined a few days since
Mr. Edmond Coombe< no role >
at this Meeting
declined being a Candidate for the Office of Vestry
Clerk of this Parish now Vacant, but Mr. Bassett
Mr. Pinckney and Mr. Pittman declared their
intention of standing the Ballot
And then the Inhabitants proceeded to
Ballot accordingly and continued the same till the
Church Clock struck four at which time the ballot
was closed for this day, and on casting up the numbers
the ballot stood thus

Which the Churchwardens declared accordingly
And then the Ballot Box with the several files were
deposited in the Mahogany Press in the Vestry room
under two different Locks, and a key was delivered to each
Churchwarden
Adjourn'd till tomorrow Morning at
10 O'Clock to continue yr. ballot pursuant to yr. Minutes of 16th. Inst.
