by the several Gents present</p>
<p n="478">It was moved by Mr. Sturch and Seconded<lb></lb>
by Mr. Wright.</p>
<p n="479">That a Subscription to Indemnify Persons<lb></lb>
Resident within this Parish from Serving in the<lb></lb>
Supplementary Militia from this time till the First<lb></lb>
day of December 1797 be Received, that such Subscription<lb></lb>
be Five Shillings from Poor Persons not worth £100<lb></lb>
Ten Shillings and Six pence from Persons worth<lb></lb>
£100 and under £500and a Subscription of One<lb></lb>
Pound Eleven Shillings and Six pence from<lb></lb>
Persons worth upwards of £500.</p>
<p n="480">That on Payment of such Sums into the<lb></lb>
hands of the Overseers Receipts be given undertaking<lb></lb>
to provide Substitutes for them</p>
<p n="481">That the Persons subscribing the Five<lb></lb>
Shillings and Ten Shillings and Six pence do make<lb></lb>
Oath if Required that they are not Possessed of an Estate in<lb></lb>
Lands Goods or Money of the Value of £100. or £500.<lb></lb>
according to the Subscription they Pay.</p>
<p n="482">The Question being put It was Carried<lb></lb>
unanimously in the Affirmative</p>
<p n="483">Resolved that Mr. Jennings be Treasurer and<lb></lb>
that a Compensation be Allowed him.</p>
