This being a Meeting to receive Proposals for
supplying the Poor in the Workhouse
with Coals, Meat
Butter and Cheese for twelve Months from the 24th Instant
The following Proposals for Coals were received
and read
Messrs. Screbsby and Allison proposed "the best
"Sunderland Coals," such as the Bournmoor or Edenman
at 53s. per Chaldron including every expence Tanfield
Moor or Pontops "could not deliver them for less than
56s. - the best Housekeepers' Coals, 60s. per Chaldron
including every expence (delivery of them at respective homes)

proposed "to deliver 50 Chas. of
Windsor Pontop or Tanfield Moor Coals, Pool Measure to
"poor House at 54/6 and 20 Chas. of good Coals on St.
Thomas' day at 63 - per Cha: all the above to be delivered
clear of any Expence whatsoever".
