allowance for the said Two Year's Account
Resolved that he be paid Ten Pounds each Year for
the same, for which three of this Committee drew a
Draft on the Bankers for Twenty Pounds
Mr. Meredith Junr. again attending this
Board and requesting Payment of £128.8s.0d due
to his Father & him on Ballance for Paving Newcastle
Street Resolved that the same be paid, for which
three of this Committee drew a Draft on the Bankers
for that Sum
The Clerk having wrote to Mr.Charles Cole< no role >
requesting him to signify Whether he had any and
what business to settle with Mr. Jackson relative to
the Bills for Paving Newcastle Street
Mr. Cole being
confined by the Gent sent a Verbal Answer That he
did not know of any thing he had to do therewith
but that if Mr. Jackson requested any Information
from him and would acquaint him thereof, he Mr
Cole was ready to Communicate every thing in his
Power.
Resolved unanimously that the Clerk
inform Mr. Jackson of Mr Cole's Answer And
further that unless the Sum of £128:16s:0d remaining
due to this Committee from his Grace the Duke of
Newcastle
be paid within fourteen days legal
Proceedings will be taken by this Committee under
the Agreement Entered into between the Committee
and the said Mr. Jackson
