Clement Danes
At a Meeting of the Committee for Paving Elected and appointed
pursuant to an Act of Parliament in the Vestry Room of Saint
Clement Danes the 16th. day of September 1774 .

The Minutes of the last Meeting Read and Confirmed.

Mr. Vaughan and Mr. Jones now Reporting that Milford Lane wants a little
Repair, but that the Material part should be left till after next Winter, Ordered
that Mr. Meredith Repair the same.

Ordered that Mr. George pay to a Watchman two Shillings for his
Assiduity in securing a Lamp Iron pulled down near Pissing Alley in the Strand
and Mr. Nixon 2s:6d: paid by him relative to a Nusance in Clements Lane.

Ordered that Mr. Vaughan Mr. Jones Mr. Sumner and Mr. Roberts be requested
to View White Horse Yard and Report their opinion at the next Meeting.

Messrs: Jones, Rainforth, Figge, Roberts and Kennett to whom several Bills
brought in by the Clerk to this Committee for business by him done were by order of the
2d. Instant referred now Reported that they have inspected the same and are of
opinion that the several Charges therein are reasonable and proper And the said
Five Gentlemen further Reported that the Clerk has not in either of the said Bills
made any Charge for his Attendances on this Committee or the Subcommittee appointed
to manage the application to Parliament against the Bill brought in by Lincolns
Inn or for his attendance on the Gentleman of the Parish at large although a
great Number of Attendances were had by him as to the said Committee appeared
It was therefore proposed and unanimously agreed that the said three Bills
the 1st. of which amounts to £48..4s..8d. the 2d. to £59..3s..6d and the last to £5..5s..4
be transmitted to the Commrs: as Westminster for Payment out of moneys received

for Repairing Cleansing and Lighting for which purpose this Commee Signed the Same
