A Bill from Thomas Steven< no role > 's Bricklayer amounting to £123..6s..7d for
Bricklayers Work in the New Paving the several abovementioned Streets and Places
which being also read and the Supervisor certifying that he had examined the said Bill
which is true Ordered that the said Bill be transmitted to the Commrs. for Payment
of £73..6s..7d the ballance thereof out of Monies received for New Paving for which
purpose the Committee signed the same.

Messrs. Meredith and Lovett Mr. Robert Campbell< no role > Mr. James Higley< no role > Mr.
James Brownley< no role > and Mr. Richard Buddle< no role > severally applying to this Committee
and desiring Payment of Monies on Account of business done this Committee signed
a Certificate to the Commrs. at Westminster Etca. for Payment of £400 on Account to
Messrs. Meredith & Lovett = £195..6s..0d to Mr. Robert Campbell< no role > - £150 on account to
Mr. James Higley< no role > - £80 on account to Mr. James Brownley< no role > and £80. on account to
Mr. Richard Buddle< no role > .

Lloyd Kenyon Esqr. as Council and Mr. Robert Pardoc< no role > as Sollicitor on
behalf of John Madock< no role > Esqr . and many other Persons Owners or Inhabitants of
Chambers in Serle's Court Lincolns Inn thinking themselves aggrieved by the
Rates or Assessments made upon them for Paving Lighting & Cleansing the Streets
and Places in this Parish from Lady Day 1772. to Lady Day 1773 did in pursuance
of their Notice for that purpose apply for Relief to this Committee upon the said
Rates which Rates being read as also an Order made by the Society of Lincolns
Inn at a Council there held the 23d. day of January 1772 and another order
made by the said Society at an Adjourned Council there held the 26th. day of
February 1773. and this Committee having heard what the said Gentlemen had
to Alledge on behalf of the said Owners or Inhabitants against the said Rates
This Committee do declare their opinion to be that they ought not to give the
Persons so Rated or Assessed any Relief and therefore Do adjudge and declare
that the said Rates ought to be confirmed and do accordingly confirm the same
