Saint Clement Danes

to wit Mary Nowland< no role > aged about 23 years upon
her Oath saith that she never was married lived as a
hired yearly Servant for one year that she this Examt.
was bound an Apprentice feeto a Mr. Asseter in
Houghton Street in the Parish of Saint Clement Danes in
the County of Middlesex for seven years that she served
Twelve Months of her said Apprenticeship and then
had her Indentures given up And this Examinant
further upon her Voluntary Oath that she is pregnant
with Child or Children which is or are likely to be born
a Bastard or Bastards and to become Chargeable to the
said Parish That one Thomas Downes< no role > a Journeyman
Bedstead maker who lodges at No:24 Rose Lane
Spitalfields is the father thereof he having had
carnal knowledge of this Examinants Body and
begotten the same thereon and that the said Thos.
Downes
< no role > [..] and no other Person did beget the same
and that he is the only real and true father
thereof.
