to wit Elizabeth Pettit< no role > aged about
27 years upon her Oath saith that she never
was married that she lived as a hired yearly
Servant with Mr. Burchells in Boswell Court in
the Parish of Saint Clement Danes in the County of
Middlesex for Fourteen Months [..] at the
yearly Wages of Eight Pounds hath quitted said
Service about 6 years ago since which time
She hath not lived as a hired yearly Servant
for one year Rented House Tent. or Lodging of
£10 a year paid Taxes or done any Act to gain
a Subsequent Settlement And further this
Examinant upon her Voluntary Oath saith
that she is pregnant with Child or Children
which is or are likely to be born a Bastard or Bastards
and to become Chargeable to the said Parish That
one Richard Norton< no role > a Master Baker in White Chaple
is the father thereof he having had Carnal knowledge
of this Examinants Body sometime in the Month
of June last past and at several times since at
one of which times he did beget the said Bastard
Child or Children of which she is so pregnant and
that the said Richard Norton< no role > is the only Real and
true father thereof
