to wit Mary Fidgett< no role > aged about 42
years upon her Oath saith that she never
was married that she lived as a hired yearly
Servant with one John Ely< no role > in Fore Street in the
Parish of Saint Giles Cripplegate for Thirteen
Months at the yearly wages of Seven pounds that
she hath quitted said Service for upwards of Fifteen
years since which time she hath done no Act Matter
or thing to gain a subsequent settlement And this
Deponent further upon her Oath saith that on the
Twelfth day of August 1794 she was delivered of
a female Bastard Child at the house of one Messrs.
Wilkinson and Jones the Cotton of Clements Lane
in the Parish of Saint Clement Danes which
hath since been Christened by the Name of
Elizabeth< no role > That one William Whitehead< no role > who now
lives in Milford Lane and works for Mr. Windle
is the father thereof he having had carnal knowledge
of this Examinants Body and begotten the same
thereon and that the said William Whitehead< no role > and
no other Person did beget the said Child of which she
was so delivered as aforesaid and that he is the
only Real and true father thereof
