Mary Jarrett< no role > Aged about Twenty six Years
upon Oath says she never was Married, and that she
lived a hired Yearly Servant with Doctor Lawson in
New Inn No. 7 on the Ground Floor, in the Parish of
St. Clement Danes in the Liberty of Westminster within
the County of Middlesex , for Two Years and an half
at the Yearly Wages of Four Pounds, four Shillings,
Quitted said Service about Eight Weeks ago, and
hath not since Rented Ten Pounds or paid Taxes And
Further upon her Voluntary Oath says she is Pregnant
with Child or Children which is or are likely to be born
a Bastard or Bastards and to become chargeable
to the said Parish of Saint Clement Danes she
being Poor and unable to maintain the same when
Born; says that one Robert Newman< no role > late a Clerk to
Mr. Stoke, Attorney at Law in New Inn aforesaid had
carnal knowledge of her Body sometime in the Month
of May 1767, and at several times since at one of which
times he got her with Child of the Child or Children with
which she is now Pregnant, and that the said Robert
Newman
< no role > and no other Person did beget the same
