Margaret Mitchell< no role > aged about 23 Years lodging
in St. Clements Lane in the Parish of St. Clement Danes in
the Liberty of Westminster within the County of Middlesex
Upon Oath says she lived a hired Yearly Servant with Sir
Richard Corbett< no role > in the Parish of St. Chad in the Town of
Shrewsbury in the County of Salop for One Year and upwds.
at the Yearly Wages of Twenty Shillings and hath not
since she quitted her said Service Rented House paid
Taxes or lived a hired Yearly Servant for one Year
And further upon her Voluntary Oath says she is
pregnant with Child or Children which is or are likely
to be born a Bastard or Bastards and to become chargeable
to the aforesaid Parish of St. Clement Danes she being Poor
and Unable to Maintain the same when born says that
Owen Mccarty< no role > Clerk to Mr. Mc. carty at No. 8 in Cursitor
Street Chancery Lane London had carnal knowledge of
this Examinants Body the latter End of May or beginning
of June 1765 and at several other times since at one
of which times he got her with Child of the Child or Childn.
with which she is now Pregnant, and that the said Owen
Mc. carty and no other Person did beget the same.
