Mary Smith< no role > aged about 20 Years upon Oath
says she was never Married and that she lived a
hired Yearly Servant with Mr. Fox a Brazier in
the parish of St. Peter in the City of Lincoln for
One Year & upwards at the Yearly Wages of fifty Shillings
hath quitted same about Six Years and hath not
since Rented house paid Taxes or lived a yearly hired
Servant for One Year And further upon her
Voluntary Oath says she is pregnant with
Child or Children which is likely to be born a
Bastard or Bastards and to become chargeable to
the Parish of St. Clement Danes in the said County
of Middlesex where she now lodges she being poor
and Unable to Maintain the same when born Says
that one John Welch< no role > a Journeyman Perukemaker (who is gone
away & this Examinant cannot tell where he is)
had carnal knowledge of her Body in the Month
of December 1764 and at several other times
since at one of which times he got her with Child of
the Child or Children with which she is now pregnant
and that the said John Welch< no role > and no other Person
did beget the same
