Mr. Davis's a Tallow Chandler in Blackmoor Street
in the parish of St. Clement Danes in the Liberty of
Westminster within the County of Middlesex upon Oath
says she was never married and that she lived a hired
Yearly Servant with Mrs. Backwell in Norfolk Street
in the said Parish of St. Clement Danes for one Year
and upwards at the Yearly Wages of Seven pounds hath
quitted said Service about two Years and hath not since
Rented house paid Taxes or lived a hired Yearly Servant for
One Year And further upon her Voluntary
Oath says that on the 26th. day of March last she
was delivered of a Male Bastard in the house of the
above named Mr. Davis in Blackmoor Street aforesaid
which hath since been baptized by the Name of George < no role >
and is now living and become chargeable to the aforesaid
Parish of St. Clement Danes , says that one John Phillips< no role > This name instance is in set 20402092.
who is a Master Brewer opposite the Vine Tavern at
Ratcliffe in the said County of Middx had carnal
knowledge of her body in the Month of June 1764 and
at several other times since at one which times he got
her with Child of the Male Bastard Child of which
she was delivered as aforesaid and that the said John
Phillips
< no role > and no other Person did beget the same.
