Elizabeth Morris< no role > This name instance is in set 1336. aged near Twenty Years upon her Voluntary Oath
says She never was Married that She is pregnant with Child or Children
which is likely to be born a Bastard or Bastards and to become Chargeable
to the Parish of Saint Clement Danes She being poor and unable to
maintain the same when born that Benjamin Lindsey< no role > Servant to Mr.
Weston in Norfolk Street in the said Parish of St. Clement Danes hath had
Carnal knowledge of this Examinants Body several times at one of which
times he got her with Child of the Child or Children with which She is now
pregnant and that the said Benjamin Lindsey< no role > and no other Person did
beget the same Says She lived a hired Yearly Servant with Mrs.
Shields at the Angel and Sun in the Strand in the said Parish of Saint
Clement Danes at the Yearly Wages of Four Pounds-and continued
in her said Service about Nine Months and then was discharged That in
about three Months after her said Discharge She came and lived with the
said Shields again for the space of six Months or thereabouts and then
quitted her said Service again and went and lived with Mr. Burley in
Piccadilly for about two Months and then
came and lived with the said Shields again for three Months or thereabouts
and was discharged again from that Service on the fourth day of October
1762
