Frances Clay< no role > upon Oath Saith she is the
Wife of Thos. Clay< no role > (who at present absconds
from her & to whom she was married at the Fleet
London on the 6th. of Febry 1745 and that she has
been informed & verily believes her sd. husband Served
three Years & upwards of his Apprentiship with
Mr Barradel a Cork cutter in Blackmoor Street
in the Parish of St Clement Danes in the Liberty of
Westmr. at the End of which time he intermarried
with this Examinant as afsd. & never was assigned
over nor ever rented ten pounds a Year or paid
Parish taxes and that she has two Childn. by her sd.
husband (viz) Wm.< no role > aged 5 Yrs. & Eliz< no role > aged 5 Weeks
& being Poor is incapable of maintaining them
without Assistance.
