Mary Hindes< no role > Aged about Seventeen Years On her Oath says She never
was Married Rented House Paid Taxes or ever lived a hired yearly
Servant for one year says her Father Edward Hindes< no role > Rented and
lived in a House known by the Sign of the Bulls Head at Margretton
in the Parish of Margretton in the County of Essex where her said
Father died And further on her Voluntary Oath says that on the 16th
Day of January last She was Delivered of a Female Bastard Child
at the House of Mr. Sowerbys in Butcher Row Temple Bar in the
Parish of Saint Clement Danes in the County of Middlesex which is
[..] Baptized by the Name of Martha< no role > and is become
Chargeable to the same She being Poor and Unable to Maintain the
said Child And further says that One Luke Newby< no role > of Ingateston
in the County of Essex had Carnal knowledge of her Body some time
in the Month of April last but the Particular Day She does
not now remember and at several Different times afterwards at
one of which times he got her with Child of the Female Bastard
Child of which She was so Delivered as aforesaid and that
the said Luke Newby< no role > and no other Person Did beget the said
and that he is the Real and true Father thereof
