to wit Elizabeth Porter< no role > aged about Twenty four Years
on her Oath says she never was Married Rented House
orever served any apprenticeship paid Taxes Says she lived a hired
Yearly Servant with one Charles Day< no role > lately deceased at the
Sign of the Ship in Wych Street in thesaidParish of St. Clement
Danes in the Liberty of Westminster for Two Years at the
Yearly Wages of four Pounds hath quitted her said Service
upwards of four Months ago & hath since done any Act
whereby to gain a Subsequent Settlement and further upon
her Voluntary Oath says she is Pregnant with Child or
Children which is or are likely to be born a Bastard or
Bastards and to become Chargeable to the said Parish of St.
Clement Danes she being Poor and unable to maintain she
same when Born Says that one John Lawrence< no role > a Joiner
and who lately worked with an Organ builder at the White Lyon
in Wych Street had Carnal Knowledge of her Body at her sd.
late Masters house in Wych Street the Ninth day of House [..]
last and at several different times afterwards at one of which
times he got her with Child of the Child or Children of which
she is now Pregnant as aforesaid and that the said John
Lawrence
< no role > and no other Person did beget the same and that
he is the real and true Father thereof
