St. Clement Danes

(to wit) Henrietta Wood< no role > Aged 37 years
or thereabouts upon her oath saith
that She intermarried with Nathaniel Wood< no role > at
the parish of Church of St James Westminster
in the said County on the 29th Septr. 1772 (by
Banns) That Previous there her said Husband hath
Informed her this Deponent that he was Settled &
in & belonged to the parish of St Clement Danes
by Service with Counsr. Baldwin in Essex in the
Strand as an hired yearly Servant in the capacity
of Butler & Footman [..] at the Wages or £12 & 12s
a year or thereabouts & quitted the same abord [..] but for what time or how long
he lived in such Service this Examinant doth not
know either by Information or otherwise And
that she is now Poor unable to maintain herself
& Children which are two Namely Edward< no role > Aged
13 years or thereabouts & John< no role > aged 1 year & Six
Months or thereabouts both together by her said
Husband - that her said Husband left this
Deponent Children about five Months ago
without her knowledge & she is now entirely
Ignorant where [..] he is except that he has heard
of his being at Sea in his Majestys Service.
