to wit Joseph Cockroft< no role > aged about 37 years
upon his Oath saith That in the Month of Augt.
1776 he Intermarried with Jane< no role > his present
wife at the Parish Church of Halifax in the County
of York and by whom he hath 5 Children living
vizt. Sarah< no role > aged about 11 years Elizth.< no role > aged about
10 years Richard< no role > aged about 7 years George< no role > aged about
5 years and Adam< no role > aged about 12 Months That
this Examinant before his Intermarriage with
his said wife and whilst he was a singleman
he lived as a hired yearly Servant with Messrs.
Slaughters Cheesemongers in the Strand in the
Parish of Saint Clement Danes in the County
of Middlesex for 14 Months at the yearly
Wages of Nine Pounds that he hath quitted
said Service about 12 years ago since which
time heshas not lived as a hired yearly Servant
for one year rented House Tenement or Lodging
of £10 a year paid Taxes or done any act
Matter or thing whereby to the best of his
knowledge Information or belief he may
have gained a Subsequent Settlement
