5th April 1786.

Middlesex

(to wit) Ann Walker< no role > singlewoman aged 20
Years or thereabouts upon her Oath saith, that
She never was married, saith that she lived as an
hired Yearly Settlemen Servant with Mr. Hawkins
a Printer in Little Hire Lane in the Parish
of Saint Clement Danes in the County of
Middlesex at the Yearly Wages of £3. and 3s:10d
for upwards & a Year that she quitted her
said service about five Years ago, and since that
time has not to the best of her Knowledge
gained any subsequent Settlement; And further
this Examinant on her Voluntary Oath Saith that
she is now pregnant with Child or Children
which is or are likely to be born a Bastard or
Bastards and to be Chargeable to the Parish
of Saint Clement Danes, and that Christopher
Swales
< no role > a Gentleman's Servant , who now live with
Captain [..] [..] who did lodge in Bond Street
Piccadilly is the real and true father of such
Child or Children, be having had Carnal
knowledge of this Examinants Body
in the Month of July last several times
at some or one of which times be did beget
such Child or Children with which she is
so pregnant
