THE ORDINARY of NEWGATE, His ACCOUNT of the Behaviour, Confession, &c.

AT the King's Commission of Oyer and Terminer and Gaol-Delivery of Newgate, held (before the Right Hon. Sir FRANCIS CHILD< no role > , Knt . Lord Mayor of the City of London ; the Hon. Mr. Baron Thompson, Recorder of the City of London; the Worshipful Mr. Serjeant Urlin, Deputy-Recorder of the said City; and others his Majesty's Justices of Oyer and Terminer, for the City of London, and Justices of Gaol-Delivery of Newgate, holden for the said City and County of Middlesex) at Justice-Hall in the Old-Bailey , on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Monday, being the 6th , 7th , 8th , 9th and 11th of September, 1732 ; in the Sixth Year of his Majesty's Reign.

Eighteen Men and One Woman were by the Jury convicted of capital Crimes, and receiv'd Sentence of Death. Upon Thursday the 5th of October , report was made to his Majesty in Council, of the above 19 Malefactors, under Sentence of Death in Newgate; when James Brothwick< no role > , Lewis de Vic< no role > , PaulCray< no role > , Peter Bell< no role > , and Elizabeth Pardoe< no role > , receiv'd his Majesty's most gracious Reprieve.

The remaining 14, viz. Joseph Powis< no role > , Edward Dalton< no role > , Serjeant Griffith< no role > , James Johnson< no role > , alias Drew< no role > , John Bumpus< no role > , Charles Patrick< no role > , W.
